One of my favorite Latino social-media peeps, George Torress, sent me a link to a recent study by NM Incite that looks at Latino digital influence. Cool study — among other things, it has a list called the “Power 10: Hispanic Marketing Influencers,” and several of my LATISM compadres are listed. More interesting, as George notes: according to the study, Latinos are under-indexing (under-represented) on LinkedIn.
Why is this newsworthy? Well, for the past 12 months, we’ve seen study after study show Latinos over-index on platforms like Facebook and Twitter. In fact, I’ve been covering those studies for the Marketing to Latinos column on ClickZ. Why the poor showing on LinkedIn? Should we be concerned?
