Social Networking Websites Boost Social Brand Referrals

An article in emarketer has revealed that social fans that follow brands lay a big influence on their friends as well. It has been reported that a referral by a Facebook friend increases the chances of buying the referred product.

Morpace, the research and consulting firm, has revealed that in order to join a fan page, coupons and discounts seem to be very attractive option. This information was quoted by at least 37 percent of the Facebook users.

The fan page activity is influenced by the cultural background of the users and it was seen that white users of Facebook were least interested to be fan of any brand or retailer.
